“Throw your dreams into space like a kite, and you do not know what it will bring back, a new life, a new friend, a new love, a new country.”
– Anais Nin, American author and diarist

Mzansi Makers is an independent NGO with a vision to change lives and give hope. This community based project, born out of cooperation with KAMERS/Makers, strives to give work opportunities to men and women from neglected and marginalized communities, in arts, in all its forms.  Some of the Mzansi Makers projects include training in the making of different creative products, which are sold to the public. Mzansi Makers, among other things, focuses on skills development programmes for youth in different art forms, including Afrikaans as language. Furthermore Mzansi Makers is in the process of developing mentorship programmes for young entrepreneurs in the arts and writing environment.

"We are here, to celebrate South-African art, in all its forms, in all its communities!”
